Remembering Brithdays

I guess you all missed some birthdays as well...Since my 'time off' from the blog we did have 2 birthdays.  Big Girl had a bowling party...quite fun!  And my Little Man had a pirate party.  We had quite a crowd at both parties and took the time to celebrate.  I did learn that if you have a party somewhere else you don't have to worry about decorating, cleaning up before the party, and cleaning up after...what a theory!  I think I am hooked.  Just kidding...my crafting and organizing traits will not allow me to always have the parties away...but it was nice this once.  So enjoy the pics as you see my kiddos grow before our eyes.  Too Fast!

We survived and we are still here!

Hello family and friends...well, I can probably name the 4 of you that may actually check my blog again.  But we are going for it again.  I have had a few people ask to see pictures of the kids...and I do have a few on my phone...but I don't carry many around with me.  So I am trying the blog again.

I guess I have some catching up to do...not sure I can do it all in one post...but the most important part is that we survived both kindergarten and third grade.  The girls had some awesome teachers...we have been so blessed to have the teachers we have had.  So they both had great years.  Third grade was a bit tough...but my Big Girl handled it fine.  She did not exactly like all the extra studying...but she developed a love to read.  She even earned enough AR points to attend a movie and lunch at the park.  So she was quite happy.

Sweet Girl flew through kindergarten and even commented a few times that she was bored some days.  She is writing, spelling, drawing, adding...really amazing.  She loves to read as well...and LOVES to play school.  Little Man is often the student and does exactly what he is told.

I have a few pictures for you to enjoy...both girls were able to go to the zoo field trip (Little Man was not allowed to go)...and field day was a blast.  So enjoy the pictures:

 

 

OMG...Look what I did

OK...I have to say that I love to sew.  Yep, it is a bit frustrating...but what isn't.  I am dreaming now of a nicer sewing maching...maybe one of these days.  But for now, I am having fun with what I have.  A good friend came over yesterday and we had a blast making my girls a new skirt...she went home and made some that were super cute...but she has been sewing a lot longer than I have.  Anyway...I wanted to share it with you.  I only have my picture of sweet girl...but they are pretty much identical.  She is also wearing a t-shirt ringlet scarf that I made the other night.  How cute is she!

Not What I like

OK...so the Project 365 is just not what I expected.  I wanted to do the pages so that the few of you that look at my blog could see what was going on.  So I spent time creating a page, editing images, adding a few fun things...I posted it on the blog and you cannot even read what I wrote.  I also worked on some traditional scrapbooks this weekend and I looked at my books.  These P365 pages would not fit well because I like to scrap events and fun pages of my kids...so not such a bright idea.

But I will try to post more often, I will also try and post some more pictures, and ever so often I will try and post a digi-scrap page.
